Where We've Been

You may have noticed you haven’t been hearing from us as much lately. That’s because we’ve had the opportunity to attend conferences and events around the globe to talk about Journey Foods. We couldn’t be more grateful and appreciative of all we’ve learned and experienced in these past few months.

For those of you who weren't keeping up with us on this journey on our other social media platforms, here’s a quick recap of where we’ve been and what we’ve been doing.


Chloe Capital Pitch Competition - Chicago, IL

 

This year, Chloe Capital began a national tour searching for the best women-led and innovative companies to invest in. Our co-founder and CEO Riana Lynn competed in the Chloe Capital Pitch Competition in Chicago-- and won! We’re incredibly proud of her and happy to see others believing in our vision of using AI to take a bite out of the worlds $600B* nutrition dilemma.

* That's $600B in the U.S. Globally, food waste ends up costing us closer to $3T, and much of that is packaged goods. 

 

Global Food Trends and Tech Conference - Seoul, South Korea

When we say our team is on a journey, sometimes we mean that literally. Three members of our team recently spoke at the Global Food Trend and Tech Conference in Seoul, South Korea. We were able to speak about the role of AI in disrupting the future of food and driving innovation when it comes to taste and nutrition.

Startup Fest  - Chicago, IL

Here at home, we recently attended Startup Fest, an event hosted by the Polsky Center for Innovation at the University of Chicago. We were able to present to students at this lively event alongside startups from neighboring universities, accelerators, and UChicago. The spirit of entrepreneurship is alive and well in Chicago, and we enjoyed the nice weather and thoughtful questions from the student attendees.


Makerwalk LA - Los Angeles, CA

In Los Angeles, we participated in the second year of MakerWalk LA alongside our host, Soylent Innovations Lab. Alongside fellow founders, creatives, tastemakers, and local brands, we opened the doors to our office and let the people of the West Coast know that Journey Foods is here to bring people the nutrition they need.
